TAB Praises Senate Passage of CHIPS Act

Austin — The Texas Association of Business (TAB) praises the U.S. Senate for passing critical support to the semiconductor industry: the CHIPS Act. This bipartisan legislation fuels funding that will boost U.S. manufacturing, reducing reliance on other nations, securing supply chains, and strengthening national security.

“Texas is a globally recognized leader in semiconductor research, design, and manufacturing. This legislation will help grow that legacy and keep jobs and investments coming to the Lone Star State,” said Glenn Hamer, TAB President and CEO. “On behalf of the Texas chamber community, thank you to our federal leaders, especially Senator John Cornyn, for getting the CHIPS Act to the finish line. We urge the U.S. House to follow suit.”
