AUSTIN, TEXAS – Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas State Chamber, announced the following key staff updates ahead of the 89th Legislative Session:
TAB veteran Megan Mauro, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Policy and Advocacy where her policy prowess and exceptional coalition-building skills were instrumental in the organization’s commitment to champion business interests. Megan will continue to drive impactful policy initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and ensure the organization meets the goals set forth by leadership. Megan’s expertise is shaped by over 3 years at TAB and seven years working as an Associate with the Managing Principal of Texas Star Alliance, a bipartisan government affairs firm.
Gabriela Perdichizzi joins TAB as Vice President of Communications & Economic Development. She brings nearly a decade of Texas policy experience at both the state and federal level. Most recently Gabriela was at Guidehouse where she worked alongside The Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office within the Office of Governor Greg Abbott to produce Texas’ new statewide economic development plan. She has also been heavily involved in other economic development efforts as policy chair for the Texas Venture Alliance. Gabriela will lead TAB’s economic development division and oversee communications efforts.
Julia Muzquiz joined TAB earlier this year as Director of Strategic Initiatives. Julia graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service before obtaining her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. She most recently worked with the US-Mexico Foundation, where she specialized in fostering binational cooperation across public and private sectors. At TAB, Julia manages stakeholder engagement and events, supports international initiatives, and oversees the litigation center.
