AUSTIN, TEXAS – Today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that Texas Association of Business (TAB) President and CEO Glenn Hamer will serve as the co-chair for Governor Abbott’s newly launched Small Business Freedom Councilalongside National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Texas State Director Jeff Burdett. The council will review government efficiency for Texas businesses and provide recommendations to cut unnecessary government regulations that encroach on Texas’ booming economy and top business environment, which has risen to become the 8th largest economy in the world. This new initiative will empower small business owners and entrepreneurs in Texas, catalyzing the Lone Star State’s unwavering commitment to encouraging economic growth and innovation.
